Healthy, seasonal, climate-positive food produced while regenerating the soil and local ecosystems

Mainstream agriculture practices are responsible for...

30%
global greenhouse gas emissions[1]

40%
nutrient decline in fruit & veg since 1950s[2]

38%
water in the EU under pressure from pollution[3]

86%
biodiversity loss
globally¹

We want to prove we can do it differently. This means going beyond the label 'organic' and farming 'future-proof'.

regenerative

improving soil fertility and enriching local ecosystems instead of degrading them

climate-friendly

using 100% renewable energy, minimising plastic, and ultimately being carbon-negative

resilient

being able to recover well from extreme weather events minimizing inputs

Our agriculture:
Producing local food with future-proof growing methods

From our perspective, we need to go beyond reducing transport and carbon emissions, making our economy more local again and producing most of what we eat near where we live.

We want to provide as many individuals and families close to us in Berlin with the fresh food they need.

But not only is it important to us that we produce food – possibly even more important is how we produce it. The best term we’ve found so far to describe our methods is “future-proof”.

Humanity has practised organic farming for most of their history (until synthesized chemicals were introduced after WWII) and still degraded their soil to such extents that whole civilisations declined. We believe a far bigger commitment is needed to overcome our global challenges:

Innovative, diverse, dedicated team

We work non-hierarchical and sociocratic.
We aim to pay fair wages and create fair working conditions for our growers.

Our vision is a place ...

And last but not least: It should be stunningly beautiful!
